Automatic Recognition

We offer automatic recognition of some degrees from Denmark, Finland, Norway, Poland and Sweden. Automatic recognition is a standardized statement that confirms the level of the foreign degree in the Icelandic education system. You can download and print the statement immediately without submitting an application. The automatic recognition is only available in Icelandic.

Electronic application with scanned documents

You can send us an electronic application with uncertified documents in .pdf format. You will then receive our statement in a .pdf with a disclaimer that the evaluation is not based on certified documents.

Full recognition based on original papers or electronic documents verifiable online

If your documents include an electronic signature or if it is possible to verify your educational documents through an online database, you can submit your application documents in .pdf format and receive a formal, signed statement from us.

If it is not possible to digitally verify your documents, you need to fill out the electronic application, attach a scanned .pdf version of your documents, and then submit your originals at our office.

Please note that we do not offer to contact educational institutions for verification.

 

Services for institutions, universities, companies and other stakeholders

 

If you work for an institution/company and wish to receive our evaluation of the education level of an employee or applicant, you send in an application through our portal. Please note in the application what kind of information is needed.
